Brittany J. Keegan

/bio

Brittany J. Keegan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Master of Arts degree in Museum Studies from the University of Kansas. Since her graduation in 2010, Brittany has worked as Curator and Collections Manager for the Watkins Museum of History in Lawrence, Kansas. As Curator and Collections Manager, Brittany is happily responsible for monitoring and organizing the collections and working one-on-one with researchers, students, and volunteers.

 

As a lifelong learner, Brittany is proud to continue crafting and developing skills that have already enabled her to communicate and share her love of history’s complexities in many forms. Since 2012 Brittany has also acted as Watkins Museum of History’s temporary exhibitions coordinator. Her responsibilities in this role include the selection of artifacts and securing temporary loans as well as the writing, design, and installation of exhibitions. As of June of 2015, Brittany has developed twenty-one exhibitions that cover a wide-range of Douglas County history.
